A Family Picture....

I guess this is what a family picture looks like when you have a 2 year old who doesn't want to be within 2 feet of his baby sister much less take a nice family picture........Say Cheese!

Kyleigh is 4 months old!

Today my sweet little girl is 4 months old! I can't believe it has all ready been 4 months since she joined our little family. I took her in for her checkup today and here are her current stats:

Weight: 14 lbs 2 oz
Height: 25 1/4 in

She is in the 85th percentile for height and 62nd percentile for weight. She has come quite a long way in 4 months considering she was in the lowest percentile you can be in in the beginning! She is really becoming more aware of things lately and right now is really enjoying her new teething toy, Sophie the giraffe. She wants to sit up all the time and so we have recently gotten the bumbo seat out and she loves it! Dr. McCray also told us to go ahead and start putting her in her exersaucer with blanket support and one of us close by! We haven't started any cereal yet but it looks to be coming in the near future. We will also be piercing her ears in a month or so so stay tuned for that one!

MiMi and Pop came for a visit!

Proof that MiMi was here....Cooper in her shoes (We need to make more of an effort to get MiMi from behind the camera and in front of it!)

Cooper doing one of his favorite things....building a tower...and then knocking it down!

My mom and dad came in for a visit this past weekend and I was so excited because they were able to come on Thursday night and stay until Sunday. I always feel like when they come on Friday it's just too short of time for us to enjoy. I was also glad that they were here a day early because Daniel decided at 3:00 on Thursday afternoon that we needed to go and look at houses in College Station on Friday. We haven't had a contract on the house yet but for some reason he felt like we needed to take our list of 8 or 9 houses and narrow them down to a more usable list.

We made the trip up to CS on Friday morning and were back in time for dinner that night. I think Cooper and Kyleigh had a great time with MiMi and Pop and they weren't too wired when we got home so I know they didn't give them too many sweets.... :) We narrowed our home search down to 2 homes that we are in love with so you will have to stay tuned to find out if anything becomes of them!

Kyleigh's First Trip to Winnsboro!

Sweet girl after church on Sunday

Taking a bath....she has the look of disgust at getting her picture taken (Hello can't you all see that I can barely fit into this tub?)

Kyleigh with her second cousin, Shelby

Kyleigh with her other second cousin, Sherri (Deja vu I'm sure for her as Sherri was 18 when I was born and everyone has decided that Kyleigh is a mini-me!)

Kyleigh with her great-grandparents MawMaw B and Papa

Labor Day weekend was the first 3 day weekend we had recently so I had decided that it was time to take Kyleigh to Winnsboro. I first wanted the whole family to go but I was not quite ready to brave the 6 hour drive up there with 2 kids. However, flying would have cost the whole family an arm and a leg now that we have to purchase a ticket for Cooper. SO, I decided that Kyleigh and I would just go together and leave the boys here.

We flew out on Friday afternoon and my mom and grandparents picked us up at the airport in Dallas. We had such a great weekend and I got to eat at several of my favorite places while at home. I was so glad to be able to get to introduce Kyleigh to everyone in person as before they had only seen pictures....and many of them thanks to her MiMi! I am hoping that the next visit we make to Winnsboro will be after the big move to College Station as our trip will then be cut in half!

The Chicken is Dead.....

Okay...strange title for a post but let me explain. When Daniel was a year old he got a ride-on toy for his birthday that's a chicken. And as Jim always tells me, "The Hindes' don't get rid of anything..." lol so needless to say, they still have the chicken and Daniel turns 31 this year! Anyways, Cooper and Layton love LOVE playing with this chicken and they have run it up and down the hallway at Nana and Papa's 100 times or more. Nana decided that the boys needed some extra stuff to play with at the lake just in case we had another catastrophe like last time and the boys had nothing to play with outside so she brought the infamous chicken and the bus (another ride-on from way back when) haha Cooper was riding the chicken out in the street in front of the trailer and the wheels came off!!! I know it doesn't seem like a big deal but let me tell you how big of a deal it was (as if the pictures won't show you)...Daniel texted me a picture of the dead chicken while I was in Winnsboro with Kyleigh. I almost cried! Cooper loved that chicken so much and we have the pictures to prove it.....sorry sweet boy!

Dan and Coop at Medina Lake!

This past weekend was Labor Day and it was the first time in awhile that we would have an extra day off for Daniel so I asked if we could go to Winnsboro because I had not taken Kyleigh up there yet. Daniel really wanted to go to the lake with Coop so I proposed that we do things separately since I was going to fly up there and we have to buy Cooper a ticket now so to save money they went on to the lake and Kyleigh and I went to Winnsboro. I will blog more about that trip when I steal some pics from my mom!

Cooper, Daniel, and Uncle Clifton went up to the lake late LATE Friday night. Daniel said Cooper fell asleep on the way up there so he was able to transfer him from the truck to the pack-n-play inside the trailer. Saturday they spent all day on the lake in the boat with Papa, Nana, Aunt Amy, Layton, Uncle Jerrod, and Aunt Amanda. Cooper loves going "swinnin" and it sounded like they did quite a bit of "swinnin" and Dan got to wakeboard. From the looks of the pics they had a great time! Thank you Aunt Amanda and everyone for taking pictures! I enjoyed looking at them so much and was so sad we missed you all!
