2010 Recap

I'm kind of stealing this idea from a friend (thanks for the great idea Courtney!) She took her favorite pictures from each month of the last year and then talked a bit about the goings-on in her family. I loved her idea because I too seem to go 90 miles an hour all the time and never stop to think about the small things in life and the wonderful memories we make every day. We are so blessed and I need to thank God every single day for his unfailing love for us and our family. SO, here are a few of my favorites from this last year (I must warn you that some months were more busy than others and so I had a harder time choosing just a couple of my favorite pics):

New Years 2010/2011

Hilarious....Mom and Carolyn

And again....

One more....I have others but I decided to quit with this one....lol

Kyleigh, my social butterfly, and her new friend, Paizlee

Kyleigh, my little flirt, and her new friend, Chaz

This past weekend we loaded up the family and went to Winnsboro to celebrate the New Year. My cousin, Josh, and his wife, Casey, came in for a couple of weeks to visit and so my Aunt Ann decided to get the family together for lunch on Saturday. We had such a great time with everyone and most of them I haven't seen in probably 2 or 3 years. I had a great time visiting with my cousins and I still can't believe they are all so grown up! We reminisced a lot about my grandmother and all the little things we remember about Christmas at her house. I miss her tremendously every day that goes by and I catch myself wondering what she would think of my sweet babies.

On New Years Eve we joined in my family's traditional get together with our great friends Larry and Vickey Mitchell and several other families from our church back home. I also caught myself remembering things from my childhood and time spent at their home on New Years Eve. We pigged out on great food and had a great time playing "Just Dance" on Wii. We even got the moms to join in on the fun! I won't be mean and post the video but I will include some awesome pictures....sorry ladies!! I've never played the game and I must say it was quite addicting and at the same time a great workout! I was so sore the next day.....lol. I am definitely considering purchasing the game and letting it help me "sweat" off the pounds!

Christmas 2010 with Papa & MawMaw B

Maw Maw B with her "Believe" sign

Her snowpeople figurine

Papa with his Red Rider BB gun

This was when he was opening the gift and realized what it was....I love my grandma's face too!

My grandparents were supposed to come with my parents with they came down to College Station for Christmas Eve but weren't able to because of sickness. Everyone has had this awful cold/cough stuff for weeks now. They were sick for about 3 weeks straight and weren't feeling up to making the 3 hour trip here so instead we brought their Christmas presents to them! We were going up to Winnsboro anyways for New Years and so we waited to take them then. We got my grandfather a BB gun.....yes it seems crazy but it's a Red Rider anniversary edition and something he really wanted but wouldn't buy for himself. I believe he all ready has plans for that gun......lol My grandmother collects snowmen so I got her a cute figurine with a snowlady and 2 small children to represent her, Cooper, & Kyleigh. I also got her a cute sign that says "Believe" and has LED lights you can turn on and off. I think they really liked the gifts so I was pleased!
