Ok...I'm a bit behind on blogging but hey it's not like I've had anything going on lately! We're going to play catch-up before my family (who now ALL live away from us) start to complain! Last week was a busy week for us to say the least. The moving company showed up on Monday to pack everything in our house, loaded everything onto the truck on Tuesday, we closed on the house in College Station on Wednesday, moving truck showed up and unloaded everything on Thursday, and Nana and Papa brought the kids to College Station on Friday....whew!

First, I have to thank our families. Without the help of my in-laws keeping the kids, we couldn't have gotten anything done at the new house and ready for the kids to live in once they got here. Without the help of my parents, we couldn't have gotten anything done at the new house period! I have to confess I was a little overwhelmed when I was standing on a step stool in my new pantry on Thursday before my parents got here and I couldn't walk in the kitchen because of the boxes. I kept thinking how am I ever going to get the place to look livable before the kids get here? I can say that when the kids got here on Friday there was not a box in sight anywhere in the house! I couldn't believe we got it all done in 2 days. NOW...there are still a few boxes in the garage right now but it's mostly just stuff that needs to be organized in the garage and put in the attic. There are still a few pictures that need to be hung on the wall but not many.

It was such a long and emotionally draining week that I didn't think I would make it all the way through. I know that it's exciting to be in a new place but it was really hard to leave some of our family and to leave the house that we have lived in for the past 3 1/2 years....the one that we brought Cooper and Kyleigh home to after leaving the hospital with them. When I walked through the house one last time before we left I was overcome with emotion. I was looking at the vinyl lettering that we put on Cooper's wall and still remember bringing him in there for the first time to see his new room. I looked at the dream room I created for my baby girl. The room that took so long to finish and yet turned out like a fairytale dream come true. OK before I start crying all over again I really hope to make lots of new memories in our new house here in College Station!
