Our First Family Vacation - Great Wolf Lodge
Even though we have taken the kids several times to Rockport for time away this was our first official family vacation where we would be staying in a hotel. I wasn't too sure about how the kids would react to staying in a hotel especially since they had a little conversation on the way there that went something like this: Cooper - Kyleigh we are staying in a hotel at the water park......Kyleigh - But I LOVE home!!!.....Cooper - Kyleigh! there are no water parks at home!!! lol It turned out to be a really great trip! Both kids did so well staying in a hotel room and we had plenty of space and room for each of them to have their own bed. We enjoyed this first family vacation with some of their best friends too!
I would recommend Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine to anyone! I think everyone with kids should put this on their bucket list of places to take them while they are young and again when they get older. We had such a great time and everything there was geared toward kids! We enjoyed storytime, playing arcade games, eating lots of yummy food, and of course, lots and LOTS of time playing in the water. I can't wait to take the kids again!
We also stayed an extra day to enjoy some things around the area. We took the kids to Bass Pro Shops which they loved and also to Legoland! It was a really neat place to take any kids that enjoy playing with legos. They had anything you could imagine built out of legos and it was really something to see. We also enjoyed a nice dinner at the Gaylord Texan and then a fun lunch the next day at the Rainforest Cafe. It was such a fun weekend and we have all ready discussed places to take the kids next!
