Saturday was a lazy day at sea. We tried to sleep in but for some reason it never seemed to work...We went to breakfast....by the way the most awesome part cruising is the full breakfast. I hardly ever cook a big breakfast at home so it's nice to enjoy it when you are on vacation....sorry honey!
That night we decided since it was the last night we would all dress up again one last time and take some pictures of each other since the ship was no longer taking formal portraits. We enjoyed a fantastic dinner in the main dining room (this night was probably my favorite....everything on the menu was delish and all my favorite things I would order at a restaurant back home). We said our last goodbyes to our wonderful waitstaff and I wondered if they would come home with us....lol. We also enjoyed one last performance by our new buddies, The Mickey Utley Band. They were fantastic as always and we shut the place down. We even brought some cornmeal from the dining room for the dance floor.....funny story but the previous nights we and everyone else complained about how sticky the floor was. It was almost impossible to dance and so we all joked that we really needed some cornmeal or something to put on the floor. Our last night in the dining room I thought Chad was kidding when he asked Miheala if she had some cornmeal. She gave him a very funny look and asked what we needed it for. He explained and a few minutes later she came back from the kitchen with a cup of cornmeal! It was so hilarious when we all showed up at High Notes and showed the band what we brought. We weren't the only "regulars" on the ship that came to hear the band every night and every one of them asked why we hadn't brought the cornmeal earlier in the week....lol.
We got into port early Sunday morning and once we got through customs we were on our way back to Carter and Laura's so they could drop us off to get our car and our dog. We then headed on to Palestine to meet up with Mom and Dad to pick the kids up. I felt like such a mom when I cried part of the way home just looking at the kids. Kyleigh's top 2 teeth began coming in while we were gone and it made her look completely different. Cooper was so excited to see us that it just warmed my heart. I can't believe our kids are growing up this fast.....
We appreciated SOOO much the ride back and to Carter and Laura for taking care of Maggie Mae all week! I know how much she enjoyed playing with her cousin CuCo. I also have to say a humongous thank you to MiMi and Pop for taking care of our little angels. We wouldn't have been able to enjoy our vacation as much as we did had you not taken time out to spend with your grandchildren.....we love you so much!
