Cooper enjoying the attention of the wait staff singing Happy Birthday
I can't believe my sweet baby boy turned 2! It seems like just yesterday we were celebrating a milestone with his first birthday and now another year has passed. Cooper is so funny these days and is learning so many new things it's hard for me to remember or keep up! He is now talking non-stop all the time and forming sentences right and left. I can't believe how much he's changed even in the past 2 or 3 months.
I have the most fabulous mother-in-law! She offered to keep Kyleigh on the day of Cooper's birthday so I could spend the whole day with just him. I knew she would probably enjoy having just one kid and to have one that isn't mobile! We went to San Antonio with Amy and Layton because we were also celebrating Layton's 1st Birthday! We took the boys for their first ride on the train at the San Antonio Zoo. They loved it! We then ventured over to Funtastic Playland. It's an indoor playground with all sorts of fun things for kids to do. I must say that I had forgotten how long it had been since our last visit there. Cooper wasn't even walking at the time and was fairly easy to keep up with. This time was quite different....I was running full speed ahead to keep up with him as he went from slide to slide to truck to you name it!
After a crazy morning of chasing the boys around we met up with Juli and Tanner at the Rainforest Cafe. I must confess....I'm still a bit of a kid at heart and Dan and I visited the Rainforest Cafe while we were in Las Vegas in April! We both knew immediately after going that Cooper would love it so when Amy mentioned taking the boys for a special birthday lunch I was all for it. Cooper didn't each much of his dinosaur-shaped chicken nuggets because he was so enamored with the scenery and thunderstorm that came every 30 minutes. We had a such an awesome day and we ALL enjoyed a much needed nap after getting home!
