Summer Fun!!!

Happy 3rd Birthday, Cooper James!

WOW....that's pretty much all I can say. 3 years has passed by so much more quickly than I ever imagined it could. Now that I have 2 children I realize what people mean when they tell you after your first child "Oh just wait until you have your second child and time will pass by even more quickly". I took Cooper for his 3 year well check-up this past Tuesday. He got 2 shots and I must say he did really well considering he is now old enough to know what is happening. Here are your 3 year stats:
Height: 39 in
Weight: 35 lbs

Dear Sweet Boy,

This last year from 2 to 3 has flown by.....I have watched you grow into a vibrant young boy and you are learning so much every day. You began attending Mother's Day Out this month and you have done so well.....you are learning to share toys with your sister, about discipline, and at the same time you are growing in your relationship with Jesus. I am so thankful to have an opportunity to take you to a place where you can learn more and more about what it means to live and walk in Christian faith.

I must say that your eating habits have diminished quite a bit. You definitely have decided that the "brown" food group is the only food group for you....and yes that means fried. We must work on this! I have managed to get you to eat more fruit but still no veggies.... Your favorite thing now and probably forever is a truck and trailer. You are also really getting into Matchbox cars and watching movies. Your favorite movies are Toy Story 3, Cars, and George Strait Live at the Astrodome.

Your favorite person is of course still Daddy. I love to watch your face when he comes home in the evenings from work. It's like all is well with the world. You are such a blessing to us and I'm so glad we get the privilege of watching you grow into a handsome and sweet young man.

We love you so much!!

"Cooper's Clubhouse"

I know...I know. Summer will come and go before I blog about the happenings in our family. I can't help that this summer has become the busiest yet..... We have been all over the place and then some. BUT, not without celebrating a certain birthday in June.

We decided that Cooper was old enough to purchase a swingset for his birthday. We wanted him to be able to enjoy it so we had them install it the week before his birthday. I couldn't believe how quickly 2 men put together a full blown swingset from a pile of wood, some metal brackets, a slide, and a few swings. It turned out great and Cooper is all ready enjoying it immensely. Although the swingset was a present for Cooper for his birthday, it will be enjoyed by Kyleigh too! AND, I'm sure we will be finding a new name for this swingset once Kyleigh becomes old enough to talk back to her brother about his naming it "Cooper's Clubhouse"......lol
